E-Huru Terms and Conditions
Welcome to E-Huru! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the E-Huru platform, including the website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively referred to as the “Platform”). By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our Platform.
1. Definitions
- "Platform" refers to the E-Huru website, mobile applications, and any related services provided by E-Huru.
- "User" refers to anyone who accesses or uses the Platform, including both service providers and customers.
- "Service Provider" refers to individuals or businesses offering services on the E-Huru Platform.
- "Customer" refers to individuals or businesses seeking to hire Service Providers via the E-Huru Platform.
- "Booking" refers to the arrangement between a Customer and a Service Provider for the provision of services through the Platform.
2. User Eligibility
- To use the Platform, you must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming legally binding contracts under applicable law.
- By registering and using the Platform, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.
3. Account Registration
- To use certain features of the Platform, including making or accepting bookings, Users must register for an account.
- You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information as needed.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- E-Huru reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided during registration is found to be inaccurate or incomplete.
4. Platform Usage
- Customers can use the Platform to browse and book services from verified Service Providers. By booking a service, you agree to the terms provided by the Service Provider.
- Service Providers may list their services on the Platform. By listing services, Service Providers agree to honor their commitments and deliver the services as described. Failure to do so may result in penalties or removal from the Platform.
- Prohibited Activities:
- Users may not engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful conduct while using the Platform.
- Users may not use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purposes.
- Service Providers may not offer services that are unlawful or prohibited by local laws.
5. Bookings and Payments
- Booking Process:
- Customers may book services directly through the Platform by selecting a Service Provider and confirming the service details.
- Service Providers must accept or decline booking requests in a timely manner.
- Payment:
- Customers agree to pay the full amount for the booked service as per the pricing set by the Service Provider.
- Payment is processed securely through the Platform’s payment gateway.
- Taxes:
- Service Providers are responsible for any applicable taxes related to the services they provide.
- Cancellation and Refunds:
- Cancellations and refunds are subject to the E-Huru Cancellation and Refund Policies, which may be updated from time to time.
6. Service Provider Responsibilities
- Accurate Listings:
- Service Providers must provide accurate and complete descriptions of the services offered. Any misrepresentation may result in penalties, suspension, or removal from the Platform.
- Service Delivery:
- Service Providers are responsible for delivering services as agreed upon with the Customer. Failure to deliver services as described or confirmed may lead to customer disputes and potential penalties.
- Professionalism:
- Service Providers must maintain a high standard of professionalism when interacting with Customers. Any conduct that is deemed unprofessional, abusive, or discriminatory may result in removal from the Platform.
7. Customer Responsibilities
- Accurate Information:
- Customers must provide accurate information when booking services, including service location and any special requirements.
- Timely Payments:
- Customers agree to pay for services in a timely manner, as outlined in the booking confirmation.
- Respectful Behavior:
- Customers are expected to treat Service Providers with respect and professionalism. Any abusive or discriminatory behavior may result in suspension from the Platform.
8. Disputes and Resolution
- In the event of a dispute between a Customer and a Service Provider, E-Huru will act as a mediator to help resolve the issue.
- Users must provide any necessary documentation or information to assist in the resolution process.
- E-Huru’s decision in relation to disputes is final and binding.
9. Intellectual Property
- E-Huru owns all rights, title, and interest in and to the Platform, including all associated intellectual property rights.
- Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal or business use.
- Users may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Platform without explicit permission from E-Huru.
10. User-Generated Content

Responsibility:
- Users are solely responsible for any content they post, upload, or share on the Platform, including service listings, reviews, and messages.

Prohibited Content:
- Users may not post content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or violates the rights of others.

- By posting content on the Platform, Users grant E-Huru a worldwide, royalty-free, and transferable license to use, reproduce, and display the content in connection with the Platform’s operation.
11. Limitation of Liability
- E-Huru provides the Platform “as is” and makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Platform.
- E-Huru is not responsible for any damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or other intangible losses, arising from the use of the Platform or any services booked through it.
- Service Providers are independent contractors, and E-Huru is not liable for any disputes, damages, or injuries arising from services provided by them.
12. Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold E-Huru harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of:
- Their use of the Platform.
- Violation of these Terms or applicable laws.
- Infringement of any rights of another User or third party.
13. Termination
E-Huru reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform for any User who violates these Terms or engages in prohibited activities. In cases of severe violations, E-Huru may pursue legal action.
14. Modifications to the Terms
E-Huru may modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of any material changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in South Africa.
